Course Objectives: 

    1. Selecting the Appropriate Business Entity: Participants will -
      • Explore the different types of business entity by understanding the advantages, disadvantages, and the legal and financial implications of each
      • Determine the most suitable form of business entity - one that aligns with investment goals and risk tolerance

2. Understanding the sources of debt and equity and their pros and cons on a business. Optimum Debt and Equity Mix and the considerations in determining the appropriate leverage ratio and the impact on cash flow and profitability. Participants will -

      • Define and understand the sources, pros, and cons of debt financing
      • Define and understand the sources, pros, and cons of equity financing
      • Determine the ideal mix of debt and equity through the perspectives of the lender, the investor, and you

3. Keys to Successful Loan Negotiation: Participants will -

      • Identify and understand the key strategies to attract lenders
      • Learn how to present an investment package to lenders

4. Keys to Successful Equity Negotiations: Participants will -

      • identify and understand the key strategies to attract equity investors
      • Learn the importance of structuring an equitable and mutually beneficial agreement

 

By the end of this course, participants will possess the knowledge and skills necessary to construct a comprehensive investment package for a potential hotel purchase. They will be equipped to make informed decisions regarding the choice of business entity and debt and equity financing.
